2021 was the year streaming platforms decided your “new music” needed to sound suspiciously like everything you already liked, just slightly more forgettable. Discovery turned into déjà vu, and somehow that counted as progress. Meanwhile, we took a different route and actually went looking for artists who have been doing this long enough to know what they are doing and still care enough to keep pushing forward. No copy and paste playlists, no watered down trends, no coasting on past glory. Just seasoned musicians still writing, still recording, and still showing everyone else how it is supposed to be done.
